Young and old, whether you are 100 or a new born we need God as the center of our journey on this Earth. I wish you all health, happiness, forgiveness, happy birthday, happy anniversary, and happy retirement. Most of all remember if you keep God, family, church, job and friends in that order all will be well in 2013. My Grannie Edith

On Thursday, November 7,1996 in the early afternoon my Grannie went to Heaven. I miss her daily and think of her so much now that I am a Grannie Edith. I will never be the Sister, Wife,  Mom, Grannie, Great Grandma and Great, great grandma, Aunt or as loyal and forgiving to her children and the rest of her family as Grannie Edith was. I will try but she was an amazing Child of God and her life proved that. I think of my own Grandson and how she would have loved  him, as only Grannie could . I miss you Grannie but I know Jackson has some amazing angels watching over him as he takes his journey through life. We will meet again.
With all my love, Edith Ann

My Rowdy boy.

This is my Rowdy Boy. He was the best male cat ever. He was from a litter of kittens that I fostered back in August 2002. When he came to my house he weighed 5 ounces and today when he passed he was close to 19 pounds. I loved this big boy, he was my cat. He will be remembered always with a smile. Rowdy you have left paw prints all over my heart.

Christmas gathering in Cox's Mills

Another reminder that the Christmas gathering will be at the Cox's Mills Community Building on Saturday December 8, 2012. We will be serving breakfast foods, so if you eat it for breakfast bring enough to share with other people. Only two people have inquired about the calendars and CD, so for this year I will take a break from making the family calendar or CD. If there is interest in the coming years then I will again be glad to put it together. I hope to see everyone at the community building on December 8th. Love and prayers, Ann

Does forgiveness mean reconciliation?

When people say or do things that are hurtful it is good to get to a point where we can forgive that person. Forgiveness, only takes one person and gives us the chance to live in freedom and free to live our lives with blessings and joy. But, reconciliation  takes more than one person and is the greatest joy because we can come to a point where we can trust again and allow the person that has caused so much pain to again share in your joy and blessings. I heard this on the radio while I was driving on Friday and it spoke to me.

Bailey-Osborne Reunion has been cancelled!!!!

Due to the recent storms and several family members are still without power and the fact that the Red Cross has the Rec Center as their office until the 18th of July, the reunion has been cancelled for July 2012. I hope this information has been given in enough time so people do not make the trip. Please spread the word to everyone you know that would normally come. If you have questions you can call me @ 304-464-4956 or message me here or on facebook.

It is never too late to ask for forgiveness.

I got a mystery letter in the mail on July 5,2012. It started out that we did not know him but he wanted to explain what he had done 27 years ago and he wanted us to forgive him. The first year we lived in our house a lot of stuff happened and you just had to wonder why would people treat other people like this. Our 2 year old daughter's pumpkin was smashed on the side walk and then Christmas came and we had put up lights everywhere to make Christmas extra special for our daughter. She loved looking at Christmas lights. Well the second night they were on and the next morning they were all gone. Had been removed, all of them! I felt so betrayed by our new neighbors, someone had to know who was doing these deeds to us, by why us? Well the letter tried to explain why three boys got together and decided to remove the lights. They hid them for awhile but then discarded them, just tossed them away. He said he has felt guilty all these years and was sorry about his part in all this, he named the other two boys involved. He wanted to pay for his crime and asked us to come up with the dollar value of our loss and he wanted to know we could forgive him for his actions. Well, what he didn't know was we had forgiven him years ago because we live for a God of justice, peace and love. Our God would want us to forgive him because He first had forgiven us of our sins.

Our days, our choice

We are given a limited number of days on this earth. So each day we are given, we can either find something to complain about or find something to be grateful for. You get to make the choice.

Investing in relationships

When it comes to relationships we should first look in the mirror at ourselves to see what we add to the relationship before we find fault with the other person. Your partner may be reacting to what you are handing out, so try to give what you would want to get back. Sometime it is not the words we say it is the tone and attitude we serve with the words. If you speak words of kindness in a loving manner you will be investing in the future of your relationship. May God be the center of your relationship. Sending love and best wishes, Ann

Chance's marker and grave

1 Peter 5:8

Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

QUIET TIME

A quiet time alone each day
Is what one needs a time to pray.
To oft the world goes rushing by
Heading not their soul's heart cry
And burdens seem to greater grow
If seeds of prayer we do not sow.

Seems to be such a simple task
Just to pray and only ask.
Our God above to lend an ear
To all the problems pressing near.
But just you try a prayer or two
And see what work it is to do.

So may the best planned project of your day
Be that quiet time you take to pray.
CONFESSION CAN BE A PAINFUL THING

Confession can be a painful thing.
But true forgiveness it can bring.
If to God your confession is made,
For your debt has been repaid.
By God’s one and only Son
Your sweet freedom has been won.
His life He did freely give
So for an eternity you will live.
He gave His life for you dear one
Now live your life for God’s precious Son.

The Iris are still blooming...:)

Poem of encouragement

The Oak Tree
by Johnny Ray Ryder Jr
A mighty wind blew night and day
It stole the oak tree's leaves away
Then snapped its boughs and pulled its bark
Until the oak was tired and stark

But still the oak tree held its ground
While other trees fell all around
The weary wind gave up and spoke.
How can you still be standing Oak?

The oak tree said, I know that you
Can break each branch of mine in two
Carry every leaf away
Shake my limbs, and make me sway

But I have roots stretched in the earth
Growing stronger since my birth
You'll never touch them, for you see
They are the deepest part of me

Until today, I wasn't sure
Of just how much I could endure
But now I've found, with thanks to you
I'm stronger than I ever knew
