HAPPY NEW YEAR -2009

As we close the book on 2008, I wanted to reflect on 2008 with new beginnings, Gage William Daniels and Cheyanne Perkins by birth. Michael Mills, Stanley Mitchell, Justin Bennett, Wayne Cottrell and Adam Hadfield by marriage. On December 14 th we lost the oldest member of the family, Evylene Marcum. It is a reminder that the circle of life continues because just 4 days earlier the youngest member of the family arrived Cheyanne Perkins, daughter of Katie and David Perkins. Katie is Norma's granddaughter living in Texas waiting for her husband to come home from Iraq. 2009 is looking to be a big year for additions, Shirley Wolfe will be expecting her first great grandchild, Johnie and Marian will be expecting Matthew in May 2009. We will be celebrating High School graduations in May with Cassandra Lilly and Shawn Lemon and in August 2009 LeAnn Lemon-Bennett from Anesthesia School. When your family has celebrations, the joy of new birth or the celebration of a life journey that has ended please keep the rest of us informed by sharing on the Blog or e-mail me at ediexray@hotmail.com. Have a blessed and Christ centered 2009.

IN LOVING MEMORY

In loving memory of a job well done. This is a true example of the love a sister can have for sister and the bond that grows stronger every day. Aunt May and Aunt Bea have been there for over three years to care for Aunt Evelyn. This is visible evidence of their love for their sister.

EVELYN BAILEY MARCUM

A journey that began on January 16, 1926 and ended at 8:00 am on December 14, 2008 at Stonewall Jackson Hospital in Weston, West Virginia. Evelyn was the second of 16 children of Nelson and Edith Bailey. Evelyn was the wife of Howard Marcum and the mother of William, Patricia, Howard, Raymond, Sandy, Phyllis and Ernest Marcum. She has resided the last three years with her sister, May Lilly in Cox's Mills. Evelyn is survived by sisters, May Lilly,Sylvia Osborne, Dorothy Hoosier, Beatrice George and brothers Chester and Hansford Bailey. Ellyson Mortuary in Glenville will take care of the final arrangements ,with funeral Wednesday the 17th at The Church of God and burial in The Horn Creek Cemetery.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

HEY EVERYBODY WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? I was looking on the Blog and it doesn't look
like anybody has been on for awhile. Since it is Thanksgiving can you think of something you are most thankful for? I am thankful for God's free gift of salvation, Mark, Shawn, LeAnn and Justin.
I have a job,my church family, my house, my family and friends, we have plenty food, my eight wonderful 4 legged family. That is just a start of many wonderful blessings that I am thankful for.
I hope you each have a great Thanksgiving and I will look forward to seeing you on December 13.
Love to all, Edith

Grannie Edith

November 7, 1996 was the day Grannie Edith got to see Jesus. As we celebrate her homecoming 12 years ago, just remember a special time that you shared with her and cherish the memory. I am so thankful that I had Grannie Edith in my life, especially as a Christian woman to show an example
of what walking in the Light was supposed to be. You know if we still had her with us she would turn 100 in January 2009. I love you and miss you, Grannie
