Sunday ramblings
This week we had to travel to Huntington to take care of some things for LeAnn and Justin so I missed Sunday School but I do have notes of a recent sermon titled Knowing God. The mature Christian is informed, they know God's word because they have it etched in their heart, they know the facts and will not be deceived. When you struggle( and you will struggle in life) you can get bitter or better. When your faith is tested you can grow stronger through these trials, just keep your focus on the Light( Jesus). Spiritual maturity is marked by your diet; you will either be drinking milk and eating meat. The young in Christ( drinking milk) will not have a full understanding of the Word but as they grow ( read the Bible, Pray, Study the Word, have a mature Christian walk beside you, seek a deeper understanding) the Holy Spirit will reveal to them a deeper understanding ( the meat). Spiritual maturity is marked by deeds or duty ( have a servants heart and act as a servant do not see your actions as duty) God wants us to have a servants heart, willing and joyful. If things don't seem to be going just like we want them to, then ask am I in the Will of God? God will reveal everything to us as we need to know, we need to stay focused and remember God does not move, if you do not feel close to God, it is you that moved away. We need to remember the four W's , Word of God, Will of God, Worship God and Work forGod. I look forward to your thoughts. With love and prayer, Edith

Hello! :)
I agree with what you said. but sometimes it is verry easy to get caught up in something else. Like how you are going to accomplish certainn things and we try to work them out ourselves instead of trusting in god to work them out for you. But almost all of us are so independent that we turn our problems over to god when we have
made a mess of them ourselves. I for one am slack in reading my bible and it is verry important to do so.
I too don't read my bible or go to church like I should. If Richard isn't feeling well or just don't want to go to church I just stay home with him. Although I don't have to, since Michael is staying with us now he will stay with Richard and take care of anything that he needs. I really have a lot of improvement to do in my walk with the Lord. Everyone really needs to pray like you have never prayed before that I will get my life straightened out.
Aunt May was telling me what you told her about reading your bible just one minute a day. It really is so little to do, but can accomplish so much. I really didn't realize just how much one can read in a minute. I for one am going to try my best to read for that minute and if it ends up five or ten minutes that's ok too. Thanks Edie for the helping hand and the great info.
