Save the Alamo!!

This is my latest "family" pic. We are at the Alamo in Texas. From left to right...my mother-n-law, Sara, me, Katie, Amber, Chris, Lorien and Loretta and a new granddaughter due Dec. 2nd. This was taken on June 24th. We are doing well. Amber is going to Berea College in Kentucky next week. Lorien is being homeschooled and would have started public school this fall. She has proven to be a good student thus far as she is already reading. Thanks for asking, Aunt Bea. Hope you and yours are doing well :)

Hey Laura, I haven't been on all week (Super buzy at work, 12 hour days every day last week) and I am glad to see other people commenting. We visited the Alamo when we were in Texas, too. I was never so scared as I was with the cab driver taking us from the Alamo back to our hotel.!!!! Did you go on the River walk? Lots of shops and places to eat or just rest for a while. It was a good trip for us. That was the first I heard the new baby was going to be a little girl too. At least Katie will get second round with the baby things. Glad to have you aboard the Web train....

Wow, I'm glad I'm not pulling those kind of hours...wait - a mom's job is never finished but I'd take those over the ones you are putting in.
Yeah, we did the riverboat instead of walk because of Loretta and Katie but it was nice. It was part of Amber's graduation gift to go to San Antonio. Katie lives about two hours north of there. We stayed in a really nice hotel on the river. Couldn't afford to pay for it - had to use 10,000 points from Amx card for just one night. It was a tough trip. We drove down without stopping overnight and it took us 23 hours. That was just to Katie's place and drove back the same way. When I go down in November, I will be getting a motel and driving two days. I want the flexability of coming and going when I please, since babies come when the Lord decides.

Hey Laura, it was good to see the new picture of you and your family. I didn't know you were going to be a grandma again. You just seem to young to be a grandmother. I guess that you don't have to be old to become a grandma though because I became a grandma for the first time when I was 36. I'm glad that you will be able to be with Katie when the new baby arrives. Well I guess I'll go for now hope everyone is well at your house. Tell Amber congrats on the graduation, and the going off to college. What will she be majoring in? See everyone around Love Ya All....
