FAMILY REUNION

Well it seems we have been making plans and working forever to make this day happen and it finally came. What a day, 108 people attended. Mom was crowned Queen of the Reunion and Freda Gibson was crowned Queen of the Kitchen. Meat/Main Dish winners were Mom, Shurdon and Freda. Vegetables/ Casserole winners were Freda, Aunt May and Darlene. Dessert winners were Cabella, Fallen and Freda. We had the following cooks in the kitchen, Mom, Freda, Shurdon, Chester Charles, Sharon, Marian, Aunt May, Darlene, Katie, Madeline, Michelle, Cabella, Fallen, Amber and Freeman. Next year we expect twice as many entries. Shurdon did a wonderful job emceeing and as Auction leader, Jonathan was his helper and banker. They both did a great job, Thanks guys...Lots of people picked up their cookbooks but I still have some that were ordered but was not picked up today. Let me know what you want done with your cookbook. I will need to know in the near future about the DVD and calendar order for the December gathering. There was just too much going on today for me to get any orders written down. If you have pictures to share on DVD or calendar please get them to me. I have #5 about 1/3 done so there is room for more. We need some volunteers to help with ideas for the Reunion. 2010-2011 committee members are Edith Lemon, Shurdon Osborne, Sylvia Osborne, May Lilly, Freda Gibson and Darlene Cottrell. If you want to help make the next Reunion the best ever, let me know before we start planning. This is the 34th year we have gotten together and it has come a long way since we gathered at Grannie and Grandpaws yard back in 1976. Please feel free to share your pictures of the reunion.
